Welluary – The February Wellness Challenge

Welluary is a February Wellness challenge created for you so you can feel your best. I came to realise that sometimes I forget to do the work. I know happiness is intentional and you have to work on yourself, but sometimes you know I forget that/don’t do that.

I’m at my happiest when I’m living intentionally and doing the inner work. So that’s what this February is all about.

How Welluary Works:

Welluary is simply doing something daily for your wellbeing but in order to make sure all the basics are covered I’ve focused on something different each day.

Day 1 is self-compassion:

What could you do today to be kind to yourself? Pleasure is important. As is self-care. Think meditation, relaxing, taking time out for you. Doesn’t have to be anything big or grand, but it does have to be intentional.

Day 2 is to move:

Get some exercise in today. The goal is to feel good so it can be anything from a gentle stroll to doing a home workout or hitting the gym. Just move.

Day 3 is a GYST day:

A GYST day is a Get Your Shit Together day. It’s something I learnt about a while ago from Youtuber Kalyn Nicholson and gosh it really helps me to just have a day where I honour all those little jobs that I feel like I never get time to do.

Those little jobs that aren’t done yet and it’s bugging you. Do them today. Anything from household chores, to errands to simply putting plucking your eyebrows. Being productive feels good.

Day 4 get out in nature:

Self-explanatory. Get outdoors. Fresh air is good for us. Shocker, eh?

Day 5 nourish yourself:

Food and soul. Eat what makes you feel good. Do what makes you feel aligned.

Day 6 is to journal:

Now in hindsight, I shouldn’t have called this day a journal day, but oops the video has already gone up so we’ll stick with it. You don’t have to journal unless that floats your boat then you definitely should. All I want you to do is write because it’s therapeutic.

Morning pages, writing down what’s peeing you off and burning it so it’s out your system. Write down your core desire feelings if that’s your thing and make a plan. Just write, it’s really good for us to let it all out.

Day 7 repeat:

Now repeat your favourite day, because creating healthy habits of intentionally doing what makes you feel good is where it’s at.

Once you’ve completed week 1 repeat it again for all the following weeks in February. For the very same reason, you repeat something on day 7.  Habits are created by repetition and making your wellbeing a priority is a habit that we all need to master. When you take care of yourself not only do you feel happier, but it affects everyone around us in a positive way. We are also way more productive and efficient.

I’ll say it again, happiness is intentional so if you want to feel good then do the challenge. It’s a really good place to start. If you’d like some more tips/ inspiration for the challenge then watch the video above for some ideas.
