One of my very 1st posts was about how we are planning to renew our vows next year for our 10 year wedding anniversary. It’s now just under a year away so I thought I best get my wedding dress from my Mum in-law’s attic to see if it still fits. It has been 9 years after all.
The good news is, it does indeed fit. The bad news is that it doesn’t really. When I say it fits I actually mean I can get it on. With the help of someone, I can even get it fastened too. However not being able to breathe and back fat hanging over isn’t quite the look I’m going for eek!

So I have a year to feel great it in. It’s quite nice actually because I can fit into it and I don’t feel I’d need to lose loads of weight for it to fit really nicely. It motivates me to get back into shape without feeling I have an unrealistic challenge ahead of me.
I could just buy another dress, but spending money on another dress seems crazy when I have one that has sentimental value to me. Sure it will be 10 years old and perhaps a tad old-fashioned, but it’s the dress I said I do in. It has a special meaning to me.
This is my last Fitmas Friday post as it’s Christmas Sunday eek. So thanks for reading them and have a very Merry Christmas,
Love Kirsty xx
